As a small consultancy we are able to offer our clients a personal service.  Our clients know that our work with them is one of only a small number of projects that we are working on at any one time and they receive our full attention.

We work with local authorities and housing associations with as few as twenty or so properties through to associations with over 10,000 properties.

We specialise in one off projects, service review and evaluation to improve efficiency. We have developed a specialism for technical services within the sector and, in addition to having worked as Procurement Manager and Asset Manager to a large unitary authority, our proprietor has worked with numerous local authorities and housing associations in the specification of technical contract requirements and procured contracts and assisted with contract management.

 

We are driven by the desire to provide a high quality service and we believe that the feedback from our customers reflects our success in achieving this (see Client Comments).

Primary Business Support specialises in consultancy to the social housing sector. In addition to numerous contracts to local authorities and the RSL sector we have worked as associates to others in the sector, including CIH Consult, HouseMark, Baqus Boxall Sayer and The Escape. PBS was established in 2002 by Peter Bird following a 25 year career in social housing that saw him working in positions from front line, through management positions to reach the role of Director in a large LSVT association.

Peter has been a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing for many years. In 2002 his strategic skills were recognised when he was invited to become a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.  In 2012 Peter studied the Prince2 methodology and passed the Foundation Examination.
