Second Service Charges Seminar

Following the very successful seminar earlier this year, which gave an overview of service charges, we are again teaming up with Robert Wassall of Blake Lapthorn Solicitors to deliver a seminar about service charges.
This will be more in-depth than the first seminar and will include a close look at the consultation requirements required under S20 of the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act, including some of the practical issues that can be experienced. It will also look at recent legal developments in service charges, including legislative requirements and Tribunal outcomes.
As previously, the subject will be presented in a straight forward way that will allow practitioners who are both experienced and perhaps less experienced to get to know and understand the issues involved in this thorny subject.
Recent coverage of Service Charges in the social housing media has raised the profile of charges and it is possible that social landlords will be questioned a little more closely about their approach to the charges. This seminar will give you the opportunity to get to know more of the detailed requirements of the legislation and keep up to date with recent caselaw.
