    Introducing commercial developers to the RSL Sector

    Yesterday I was introducing commercial developers to contacts in the RSL sector and we found that there were currently good opportunities for the two sectors to work together in mutual support.

    Development funding initiatives may provide an opportunity for the funders to effectively 'bank' current day funds with commercial developments let on intermediate rents, for retrival in a few years time when the economic climate improves but central funding for affordable homes is anticipated to be stretched.

    It is clear that at the current time there are opportunities for a range of innovative approaches to funding and development delivery that can be explored if the right people are in the mix.
