We work with
clients to transform good organisations into excellent ones. We
provide a range of business management services and work with your
staff and management team to develop and improve strategies and services.
We provide consultancy, support and interim management in the specialist area of social housing, where we have assisted organisations to meet their regulatory requirements, achieve charitable status, develop meaningful policies and practices and move their business forward to meet the needs of the 21st Century.
Our work has enabled improved efficiency and a more punchy delivery. We have considerable experience in systems analysis and redesign to achieve service improvements, efficiency gains and improved performance.
We
frequently find issues that are unknown to managers within the organisation
and our reports typically contain a wide range of recommendations,
some of which will be items to note, others where recommendations
are made for you to consider and others where strong recommendations
are made. Our clients appreciate our dedication to the work and

How
we do it...
Our
approach is hands-on. We look at how things should be
operating currently. We look at your current policies and
procedures, regulatory requirements, best practice examples
and undertake a thorough analysis of how they are actually
working. We will provide you with a thorough assessment including
a comprehensive report of our findings, recommendations and a prioritised
list of action points.
We can assist in the implementation
of the changes if that is what you require. We pride ourselves
in being thorough and our clients appreciate this. If we identify
issues outside the brief we will bring them to your attention in
the spirit of adding value.
We work with your staff, managers,
board and customers as appropriate. Our approach is one of
joint examination and so there can be skills transfer, a full understanding
of the findings and no surprises when the final report is issued.

don't spend your money telling you things that you already know
and we don't tailor your needs to fit our solution!
Now in our
seventh year...
Primary Business Support is an independent business
consultancy specialising in the social housing sector and related areas of work
within housing associations, local authorities and other organisations servicing
the sector. The Primary Projects tab, above, will provide
you with details of some of the work we have undertaken.
We have over 25 years experience working in organisations providing affordable housing and six years experience as independent consultants providing management support and consultancy to the sector. Much of our work is repeat business - giving testament to the satisfaction of our clients.
We have considerable experience of the social housing business and specialise in business management including systems analysis, performance management, business strategy and support elements such as business planning, marketing and contract management.
Based in Andover in Hampshire we are well based to serve the central south. We have worked in many of the southern counties including Hampshire, Dorset, Somerset, Sussex, Surrey, Wiltshire and London. Clients have included housing associations, local government, charities and almshouses as well as those other businesses that provide services to the social housing sector.
In addition to working independently we have a number of partner organisations with whom we work to provide clients with a broader range of services, including lawyers, interim management suppliers, surveyors and other specialist housing consultants. We work as Associates to HouseMark and are Principal Associates to IMS Executive.
